Vacuum Beds & Workholding

Used in applications that require very tight height tolerance on the work piece. Primarily designed for the precision glass industry where zero movement is required when the work piece is being machined. This vacuum bed offers a height tolerance of just 0.002" (0.05mm). Having the same feature as Rectangular / Circular Beds for Glass, these vaccum beds have the added feature of a vacuum release button. This enables the bed to be moved on the machine table while still under vacuum. Click on the image to read more.

The vacuum beds utilise a top and bottom vacuum seal. The bottom seal holds the bed against the machine table while the top seal grips the work piece. The vacuum can be generated by either a vacuum generator or a pump system. Click on the image to read more.

Enables the workplace to be pushed to a know datum location. When the workpiece is clamped on the vacuum beds, the black pin retracts enabling the router to machine around the profile of the workpiece. Click on the image to read more.
